Tips on getting the most from your wedding pictures

Chris Sigmon of LifeSong Photography & Video in Spartanburg has been lucky. In the years that he has been a wedding photographer in Spartanburg, he’s never had one where a member of the wedding party fainted or where rain moved an outdoor wedding indoors.
While that kind of luck might be enough to cause some brides to hire him on the spot, Sigmon encourages brides to have meetings before selecting the person who will commit their memories to media.
While online galleries are great places to get an idea of a professional’s work, ask to see the entire photo shoot of a wedding.
“You’ll see hundreds instead of the best of from a portfolio,” he said. “If you are not OK with that, go on to the next person.”
Katie Turner, of Turner’s Touch Photography in Boiling Springs, says her best advice to a bride is to find a photographer with whom she gets along.
“Yes, you want a professional. Yes, you want outstanding work,” she said, “but at the end of the day, you want to get along with this person.”
